Day 4: Ni hao Beigang!

The day started at 9 a.m. when we were brought to have a real Taiwanese breakfast at 7eleven kiosk. Though Soya milk was enjoyed by Dana, all the other team members sat with breakfast coffee and sandwiches.

Our next stop was at Beigang Liu Chu Chung Sheng Chun-company where we had a cypress wood craft experience, were we met kind people and eat delicious chocolate triffeles. Afterwards we visited a Taiwan Pig Factory that presented us the way they produce pork meat. At the very end we were given an unexpected special gift - piggy "Pearl" Shampoo and Body Lotion - an eco friendly product made from from pigs.

And then – here it comes again – a round table launch with Taiwanese food and socializing with Taiwanese Rotary members! This time it turned out into a passionate „kombai” competition with numberless beer tosts and Riga Black Balsam shots between Taiwanese and our team guys.

Inspired the team continued its way to the Beigang Chaotien Temple. For the first time we had a real Asian esthetic experience with Dragons, Lions, God and Budha stattues, virac smell, inscent and piligrim performances in front of the Temple. Outside the Tempel we also meet a french-canadian guy who was part of the Rotary exchange program for High School students.

Afterwards we had some sweets on the Street and were drived to the next Rotarian meeting. In this official meeting we had a possibility to present ourselves and our countries in a visual presentation and not for the first time we ended up sitting at the round table again.
